PMR at first Global Entrepreneurship Week
For the first time Poland participated in Global Entrepreneurship Week - and so did PMR!
Richard Lucas, the chairman of PMR, often referred to as a “business guru”, delivered lectures on the subject of starting an enterprise in at conferences and other events associated with GEW.
Our company also hosted a group of seven-year-old children from a Polish primary school. The children had the opportunity to talk to PMR managers, and to ask and learn about distant places, new information and business. For example, in order to explain market needs to the pupils we carried out a survey among them on the subject of… their favourite flavour of ice-cream! – as you can imagine this was well-received.
As we tend to make them as practical as possible, such visits seem to be a great experience for that age group, and, at the same time, it furthers many educational objectives. This time, for example, the children learned:
- how to say their name in different languages, such as English, French, Italian, German and Russian
- how to market their school among their peers – this task was also a first trial/experience of brainstorming and speaking in public for many of them.
Last but not least, we had a pleasant surprise for the children – a magic show performed by our sales consultant, Marek Lorek.
Both sides, children and PMR, found this trip very fruitful and it was really hard to say goodbye.
