What makes PMR a special place to work? It's people, that is for sure. It is about who we are, and what attitudes we have, both towards our professional responsibilities and other people. It is about the values that we all share, and live.
And that exactly is what makes the working atmosphere at PMR so enjoyable. To understand our values well it will actually be easier for you to get acquainted with the list of our DOs and DON'Ts...
Respect others. Be someone that you yourself would like to work with. We all want to work in a friendly atmosphere and everyone deserves it. We accept different attitudes, different style of work, the only limitations being that they cannot offend or limit those of other people. We see diversity as our growth driver. Being tolerant towards everything except for intolerance is a rule at PMR.
Be open. Give your honest and respectful opinions to others, and also be prepared to receive some in return.
Be critical and constructive. There is nothing wrong about criticism, as long as it inspires to seek for ways of improving things. If everything is perfect - nothing changes. Since nothing in the real life is perfect there is always room for improvement, and seeing is a key.
Be innovative. There must be hundreds of ways that lead to a chosen goal. Maybe, the one we've already gone through does not necessarily have to be the shortest and the easiest one.
Be curious. That will obviously require asking a lot of questions (often yourself) and that you know already how to implement points 2 and 3. But will definitely help you in point 4. Be ready to learn new things. The more the better. Everyday.
Keep your communication standards high. Make sure your message is understood. The best way is keeping it simple and clear (and remember point 1). At PMR we believe that face to face is better than phone, but phone is better than email. And if you write e-mails - make sure to install and use a spellchecking tool.
Be helpful. Get your hands dirty, once in a while. Ambitious goals and challenges teach us a lot and we all have plenty of difficult tasks that help us develop. That is why all of us get involved in doing some simple things from time to time. No one is too great to do simple things.
Be positive. There surely IS a solution to any problem, only might be surprisingly simple/odd, so...see point 4. And, because we all try to be positive at PMR, there is no DON'Ts list yet. Positive communication works better.
Just because of points 1 to 8 - the above list is not closed nor complete.
